UBC HOCKEY SCHOOL

The 2013 UBC Hockey School is now open for registrations! Our Summer hockey school runs for 6 weeks beginning July 15th.  Please refer to the side menu for all of our specific programs that are offered. 

A Vancouver based hockey school, the UBC Hockey School runs out of the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Center, a world class facility built for the Olympics. This Vancouver based Hockey School is dedicated to delivering a great experience for all participants. We strive to provide a fun and challenging, yet safe environment for every child. The UBC Hockey School will help your child develop their skills with our progressive curriculum, which is designed to meet a wide range of skill levels.

Each camp includes 2.5 to 3 hours of on-ice instruction per day!   All participants are expected to bring full hockey gear, a change of clothes, water bottle, snacks, lunch and running shoes.

 On-ice sessions include a focus on skating mechanics, puck control, shooting, passing, game situations/ strategies and small-sided games.  Our experienced staff will ensure individualized instruction for all playing levels.  This allows everyone to be challenged in a suitable developmental environment.

 Off-ice activities include a variety of outdoor sports, team building games and activities, trips to the UBC Aquatic Centre.   Private transportation will be used for all off-campus activities if necessary.

Special Notes

Guest coach appearances by Vancouver Canuck Manny Malhotra will take place during course #9696 (2pm-3pm) and course #9700 (3:30pm-4:30pm).You do not need to be registered in these courses to watch the sessions.
